Christy Bean, owner and maker of Aunt Christy’s Country Kitchen artisanal jams and jellies, is a self-proclaimed foodie who loves to put together unique and off the beaten path flavors for her creations. Toddler teacher by day, culinary scientist by night, she takes normal fruits and fruit juices and adds a variety of sweet and savory spices to create distinct and delicious treats that appeal to all palates. Christy has been making jams and jellies since 2012 and she believes that preserved fruit spreads should taste fresh and bright, with no over-processed or overly sweet flavors. Therefore, she likes to cook with all natural ingredients, no high fructose corn syrup and no chemical preservatives.
Christy is married and shares her home with two feline furbabies, Blitzen and Cree. Aside from making and preserving food, she loves to make soap and body butters, create jewelry, paint, knit, and crochet. And she is excited to be sharing her passion for making good food!
